Thanks, Terebinthian. Glad to have you noodling around WTH. Step out into the Churchillian "bright, sunlit uplands" and share your opinions and insights.

I guess the driver for me to start this site (and the future plans and dreams I have for it in WTH 2.0, WTH 3.0 and beyond) is that like you I am just fascinated by the world around me and the stories it contains. Every time I travel somewhere I never get bored looking around and wondering about how things got the way they are. It's wonderful to see how all the little stories are woven together to form bigger stories which are woven together to become The Big Story of our world.

Jump in the pool here, the water's great ;)

I've been a regular reader of WTH for over a month now and I am endlessly fascinated and impressed with the quality and quantity of your prolific posts. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We are kindred thinkers--I never read a post which doesn't interest me. Now I don't feel quite as weird knowing there are others whose thinking patterns mimic my own viral curiosity about the history of all things current. Who knows, you may even succeed in getting me to post a public comment on a piece (something I've NEVER done since I'm more of a "background" kind of guy). Keep up the incredible work, Greg!
